Responsibilities

Assists the marketing team in the implementation of the integrated marketing strategy at FITT. The individual will be expected to learn from FITT’s cutting-edge marketing tactics and play an assisting role in a variety of tactics including social media marketing, blogging, mobile app development, email campaigns etc.

This role is responsible for:

• Assist with content creation for blog, social media and email campaigns
• Preparation of marketing collateral including PDFs, image plates
• Triage of incoming emails and bug reports from customers and internal staff
• File management of digital assets
• QA testing of website apps, widgets, mobile apps etc.
• Assist in website, blog and apps maintenance and updates
• Assist in curating content for social media use
• Assist in managing the growing FITT community including customer support and outreach
• Supports FITT in client/supplier meetings and other events as required
• Office administration duties e.g.: analytics and CRM report creation, creation of PO’s, online supplier management, ordering marketing collateral like flyers and business cards
• Other duties as required

Skills and Attributes:

• Advanced writing skills with a passion for communications
• Highly organised and consistent
• Aptitude to work with multiple softwares
• Self-directed
• Adaptable
• Customer oriented

Knowledge and Experience:

• Post-secondary education or equivalency in journalism, communications or a relevant program
• Proficient computer skills for database, email, Excel, word processing, internet
• Knowledge of graphic design and graphic design software like Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator an asset. Please provide any relevant links (if applicable) in your application
• Experience in blogging and social media (LinkedIn, FB, Twitter, G+) use for business is an asset. Please provide relevant links (if applicable) in your application.
• Flexibility in handling multiple issues and activities and coping with a demanding workload
• Proven ability to work in a partnership environment
• Effective communicator, both written and oral
• Ability to communicate effectively in English mandatory; French an asset
